My research combines microbial experimental evolution and bioprospecting to investigate causal mechanisms across ecology, evolution, and synthetic biology. Isolating novel microbes from natural and polluted environments enables the study of microbial interactions and opens new avenues for bioremediation, resource recovery, and the engineering of microbes as biological factories.
