Research Interests

Developing cell-free transcription-translation systems for building biochemical systems in vitro including engineering gene circuits, manufacturing engineered bacteriophages, and building synthetic cell systems from the ground up. Interfacing cell-free transcription-translation with materials to create biotic-abiotic systems.

Bio

Vincent Noireaux got his Ph.D. at the Curie Institute in Paris in 2000. He spent five years as a postdoc at the Rockefeller University in New York City. He joined the University of Minnesota in 2005. His lab uses cell-free transcription-translation systems to engineer and build DNA-programmed biochemical systems from the ground up.
